get ready to take on the world.

Be prepared for adventure… whether it’s in your backyard, during a long power outage, or on the other side of the globe! These classes will help you get ready to take on your world.

basic camping skills

Three hours, $60 solo/$75 per family

Never been camping? Don’t know how to put up a tent? No problem! In this easy-going, family-friendly course, you’ll learn all the basics you need to know to ditch the RV and sleep comfortably under the stars. You’ll pitch a tent, learn how to pick the right sleeping bag and accessories, string up a hammock, and build a basic campfire (the right way!). If there’s time, we’ll even make s’mores (and there’s always time for that!).

disaster preparedness

Let’s face it… things have been getting weirder and weirder every year. Whether you want to be ready for TEOTWAWKI (The End of the World as We Know It), or you just want to be comfortable during the next overnight winter power outage, this course is designed to give you an emergency plan and time-tested skills that fit your budget and lifestyle, and can be scaled up or down according to what you think might happen next!

Three hours, $60

adventure travel planning

Two hours, $50

Sick of the same old, same old, but not sure if you have what it takes (including time and money!) to travel outside the U.S.? We’ve been there and done that, and we’re excited to help you do it too. Our specialty is in planning relatively short, affordable overseas trips you’ll never forget! Of course, if you have the time and budget for something epic, we can help with that, too. This class will show you how to maximize your vacation time and travel budget, then pick an exciting destination that fits your resources, interests and abilities. Finally, we’ll present some tools to help you make an adventure itinerary.  After class, once you’re ready to buy your tickets, we will still be available to guide you and answer your questions. Then, it’s up to you to go and live the stories you’ll be telling your grandkids!
